something that isn't broken tommo......sponsors have been a great part of the last two comps.......around $10,000 of prizes raised in a very short time....also gets more people interested....April is fine apart from Easter and school holidays, and the behind the scenes organizing may need a bit more time.......,,,,,!,,,,,,,!!!

JB as a base
JB sounds good to me as a base to hold a comp & leave from & be back on time for weigh in & drinks, So can fish Jurien, Cervantes, GreenHead, Leeman just be back on time for weigh in & drinks. & yes all chip in prise $$$s entry fee. I have fished comps with no boundrys just time, just see what comes in, eye opener weigh in !!!

If put it for prizes and if sponsors want to chuck in too, good on em, think there is a better chance of top class fish at the weigh in at jurien compared to local and we can all enjoy a beer or two without having to worry about driving home, only downfall is booking comp/accomadation then the weather turns to shit.
Julian Bay for me
Late April early May is the go. Miss the schoolies and the dramas that go along with weekend warriors turning Julian Bay into a ponce place with their never been off the black stuff VXi Prado Grandes and their latte' sipping pinky finger pointing wank fests.
I will put up a piece of pearl jewellery to the value of $1000 as one of the prizes so that you can take it home to the Missus and get yourself outta the shit for smashing the fish stocks/drinking piss with ya mates/neglecting your duties as a husband/not father of the year/the lawn needs mowing ........... wife.
Jurien Bay Pub has a hotel attached to it with 80 rooms at only $150 per twin share or $110 a night for single room. Blanket book the whole place and walk to the pub. Make it Ground Zero as plenty of parking for boats etc. Safety in numbers kind of theory.

30th annual Shimano WA Open at Jurien Bay
Here's the link to their rules for Jurien Bay! Make it easy and use the same rules! Simplify the points score by removing the line class. If you want to have start times of between 8 am and 4 pm and you want it on a weekend, the best weekends would be May 19 and 20 or 26 and 27 The 5th and 6th is ok for the tides, but shit moon.

I've spoken to club Apex and
I've spoken to club Apex and at this stage the 19th or 26th May would be available to hire the whole camp.
Different accommodation styles but they can squeeze up to 180 people in. It would be an avg of $25 per head per night(instead of $30 usually).
The better rooms would be first in first served basis. The self contained may be a little more per night and the dorm style a little less than the $25avg.
If this suits we will discuss with the camp further how it will work re bookings etc.
