Copper Sulphate

Decella's picture

A mate of mine went out fishing on his mates boat, they ran out of fuel and a couple of blokes gave them some. As they didn't have a funnel the guys in the dingy gave them a bottle of copper sulphate to use as a funnel. When my mate asked them they told him they couldn't tell then. In what application would it be used in fishing?

F Knows

I remember that when I was young we used to put a bit of it in the fish tank if the fish got infections
but if you put too much in it killed them.
Maybe for getting mr Okki out of his pots ?

yeah have heard crays

have heard crays will walk out of holes in rocks when squirted with copper sulphate-just need to have it bottled so pressure at depth does not make it leak or pop. also to dislodge occys from pipes etc

IT is used in swimming pools

IT is used in swimming pools as clarifier , in fish ponds for disease, so a small amount in a occy pot is not like bombing a reef to flush small fish were the coral can be killed. Look at what BP cooling water has in it !!! But if you get caught with it you pay the price.
