BoatLight Fishing Squid Comp Results
Well it was a great day, 15 boats came down to try there luck at winning the Boatlights and Squid Jigs.
The squid were out in numbers to help us with our bags with many of them hunting in packs.
The weather was better than expected as we were greeted by light SE winds that dropped to nothing for a while and then the howling SW came in about 10am.
Te results were as follows
First place was Mark and Neil who weighed in 10 Squid at 2.67 kg
Second place was Garry and Mud with 10 squid at 2.5 kg
Third place was PopsFishing with 7 squid at 2.265 kg
another boat weighed in 10 squid at 3.27 kg but was disqualified due to a technicality (Due to ugliness)
Thanks again to all that took part and those who came down for the presentation

Another succesfull W.A.F event, a great day had by all, my grandkids loved catching squid for the first time as did Pop.

Well we come second Mud, but I cant stop thinking about the big one you decapitated with the strangle hold. Big splash look down and there goes the tube floating away with you left holding the head.

First to Linds for the work going into the day, and Gaz putting up with me, Someone told me that if you squize the squid just behind the head, they don't squirt ink everywhere, finally catch this horse must of been 3kg so I did the deed only to see the tube fall off and being on an ocean liner couldn't reach the tube as it disappeared into the blue. Great day
