It was tooooo lumpy for this softcock. Lasted 5 odd hours before the chruning started and heading backin shallower and then subsequently dropped off back at ramp. Thanks Colt and Feral for putting me back on terra firma early. Sorry for bieng limp but I reckon I best stick to squid, hezzas and crabs and whatever else I can scratch up inshore.

at the weigh in great to catch up with a few members & have a good laugh, Congrats to all who took part & Lindsay-wafishaman & dave - mangles for hosting the event & the cooks on the bbq did a fantastic job feeding the mob & the all the winners well done. Didnt have much luck myself but my youngn boated a nice bb & released a couple undersized dhus.
Was great condititions out in the 40`s glassed right off for 3 hours around midday & had to start the motor just to get some drift happening

bit windy but wasnt to bad out in the deep water. got some nice pinkys but nothing else realy . there was few softs fishing today winging on the radio it was to windy and they were only close in. suck it up princesses wasnt that bad we fished comfortable

there bit of wind but wasnt that bad only bit chilly at times and the seas were ok we caught fish so not realy fuck all. at least we didnt give up at lunch like alot of softys and they weren even out far. caught far few pinkys fair few just under size ended up 3 nice ones and a shark and gurny and a swallow tale. not the biggest catch but something. we would be happy going out that weather again.

all to do with the boat mate i fished stand up all day with my pen international 130 and if you seen how big they are you would understand there not little and easy to handle defently be imposable to use in shit house weather plus i have a fucked shoulder. if it was that bad you might need to trade your big flash boat in and get a 40yr old out dated glasscraft which proformed perfect yesty lol even got up to 59.8km on the way back goin past rotto. only prob was yesty was the wind the drift at times was little fast.

I was alright yesterday morning got home, cleaned the boat, filleted the fish then sobered up,,,,,,,,,Faaaaaark. The couch got an absolute hammering. Cheers for the fish they were beautiful.

but the one I was in was crap. My boat is 26' and over 3T and will leave most behind in a rough sea but on Saturday comming home straight into it I was down to 8-9 kts and falling off the back of the odd 3m wave. You are either made of rubber or on the drugs mate.
