Doesn't say the weight of

Doesn't say the weight of hull but It would be just ok IMO
you would have to take it out on a windy day and see if it struggles pushing it.
Ant does have a good point by the way laugh

I only drink on days that end Y
did you know the word Vegetarian is an old indian meaning for PISS POOR HUNTER.

Check for overwidth also Lind's

anything over 2.5 needs to comply with the overwidth bullshit that follows. They have just ammended the rules Feb this year so you can now tow at night  if under 2.7 however still a lot you must comply with to meet permit requirments. Fine $400.00 per item not complyed with. On big piss off is no travel on public holidays on some roads.

Shut up and fish or cut bait and tie riggs

My old 21ft haines signature

My old 21ft haines signature used to push along ok with a 135hp 2 smoke. If you take it for a sea trial take a couple of blokes with you to see how it handles loaded.

Hull weight

Linds my hull is around the 1020kg mark without the engine, now a mate of mine had the same hull with a 150 on the back (keep in mind his Johnson fict was older than my e-tec). He would use about a third more fuel than me for the day and we normally shadow each other to scan for ground, I think the weight of the hull is the issue here. The problem with the 150 is it would be okay if you had 2 people on board but chuck another body or two a esky full of piss then watch the fuel guage go down. Prop selection is a key to when addind more people to the mix.

If you love it set it free, if it comes back fillet it.

i have a 22 foot fibreglass with 150hp 2 stroke and it goes really well. The one your looking at probably would be heavier conisdering it would have 400L of fuel and a lot more fibreglass with the 2.6m beam.

hi linds

mine is a 6.1 plate ali and i have 150 etec , thats a great rig bigger & heavier  i wouldnt put anything less than 200 hp JMO

eziliving's picture

i had a 140 suzi on my boat

i had a 140 suzi on my boat originally 6.0mtr polycraft with a dry weight of 1040kgs with a 200ltr fuel tank. i reckon it was under powered and upgraded to a 175 suzi and it has become a totally different boat.
my mate has the same boat that you are looking at and he has a 175etec on it and that pushes it along nicely. imo just a little bit under powered in shitty seas, flat water no probs.

my 23.5 footer has 260 hp and i would still like more for getting out of the hole, looking at different prop options at the moment to help with this.
